For me personally, the main fun is starting from scratch, feeling naked and vulnerable and then managing to successfully scrounge my way into a position of stable survivability.
Once I'm 'all geared up' as it were, the game loses its appeal for me and merely becomes a sub-standard fps version of Bf2; albeit way more campy and far less action.
The team play is awesome and filled with lol's though, so that replicates the tight bf2 comradery that I miss. That is the most fun about DayZ, for me anyway. :loyal:

There's been a bug lately, where if you take your FoV off of an animal for a split second and then return, it'll sometimes disappear, so if you manage to find an animal, keep that in mind Ahhhh, cheers for that. I had a white boar walk past me the other day, I momentarily looked away and it vanished. I thought 'faaark, this shits awesome!' I now feel safe to pack another

Truly epic! If only Auckland (or any NZ city for that matter) closed off the roads for this professional mayhem. Great for tourism.
Interesting how they've done a few test runs, judging by the amount of rubber left on the roads.

Hahaha. Don't worry, that was my killing myself so I could respawn elsewhere. They bitched out and disconnected after my first attempt I think.
You met me at my second attempt. My first only failed because he had an enfield, which allowed him to sprint faster than me for some reason. They survived because of a glitch. If I ever see them again, they will die. I don't seek revenge for ordinary murders. The fact was they had said friendly, and we had been communicating and working as a group previously. Well fuck me dead, if I knew this at the time, I would have gladly joined you for some utu axtion! I feel guilty now; lingering there for another 10 mins, while packing a few more bongs in rl. What sucks more than fully geared up 'northern bandits' who always log out on death to save their precious gear? Bandits who log out.....and lie to you!!! :chargrined: If this is how civilized mankind will act after an apocalypse, we are all well and truly rooted  Hurricane Katrina anyone?

That time you ran into me in the fire station awhile ago, I think we were on the edge of choppin' each other with our axes, until we both realised each other would hold their word after saying "friendly".
After you left to pursue and get revenge on the group of 4 guys that had shot you earlier, I thought 'wow, he's got balls to bring a knife to a gun fight!'

Discovered i can use a hatchet to create firewood when next to a tree! Hhmmmmmm, that wild pork was delicious....
However, after finishing the crackling, I notice my shotgun is missing. Probably burnt it in the fire. :stupid:

Took ya advice Emrico and ventured deep inland. Its all milk and honey! Straight away I find cammo, an M16 with 4 clips in a deer hut; and a tent and nice pistol in a high value barn.

......now to make my way to the fabled, legendary NW Airfield where the big boyz play.

What is the spawn rate of loot? I do 3 hr sweep through some villages and the whole of Cherno and come out of it with an axe and a empty whiskey bottle.....:concern:
I swear my crappy loot drops have carried over from Diablo 3!

Found a hatchet and went on an enraged axe attack. Chopping through zeds like madman, before noticing there were 3 unarmed survivors following my trail of destruction and rifling through the corpses as I went along!
Somehow received a broken leg at he end of it, so I handed my bloodied axe to one grateful guy (had no meds to fix myself) and proceeded to crawl into the nearby sea to drown.....
.......but once under the sea, I found I could not drown! :concern:
Crawled out and about for 15 mins until I found a zed to molest me so I could respawn in the now full server. Early dayz, yet experiencing some epic lols.

After a few install niggles and pissing around mapping keys to G13, I jump into a GetSome server.
I'm beached, its dark, and I cant work out how to even activate my flashlight.....
A survivor suddenly comes sprinting right past me, with torch flashing wildly as he runs. Hordes of zombies trail him like a end scene of a Benny Hill show. I am dazed and confused as they dog-pile me and the guy disappears into the night. Welcome to DayZ!
I shrug it off and load in again. Spawn in the sea, swim ashore and meet a guy holding an axe on the beach. Tell him I'm a friendly, weaponless noob..........'WHACK, WHACK' and I am murdered.
Thought, fuck this, grabbed a box of piss out of the fridge and went and watched the rugby test. Will try again when its daylight on the servers to even stand a chance of progressing and learning this game! :topsy_turvy:
