Painted it

Spoiler :

Original bottom and new top

Original right and new left

Not the flashiest but hey its alot better then the old paint, which the sun had ruined because of the lack of clear coat. And it will last unlike when i first got it. Also was very inexpensive (160ish) considering i did it myself and with cutting compound and clear coat spray lol so all good. First time attempting to paint a car with cans too.

Where did you lose it? Ain't like its a set of $#@!ing car keys now is it.

more than likely for that excess he "lost" it when he hit that tree/car/immovable object that jumped infront of his car on a fine sunny day in the month of may, whilst obeying all the road rules...

More like pulling the handbrake then powering over like lil bowow said to do in tokyo drift amirite.

Fuckwits loose it as in it was 'mine' because my mums now ex boyfriend bought her a car so she gave me her old one. Shit happened and he wanted it back and got it back, she had no car and needed it more than i + she gave it to me anyways so i gave it back.

Don't jump to conclusions, but then again i guess thats like telling water not to be wet. Being the trolls you all are.

edit: cheers hori

It has decent 'go' especially for a 1.6l being a 20v. The paint is letting down the 'show' part though haha. Nah i do regret getting it which is why im getting rid of it :) i would've saved up more but i needed a car cause i lost my first one.

You mean it's the result of someone who didn't know what they were doing? Like the 95% figure quoted earlier?

Lol fuck you're the biggest troll ever.

I didn't say it was done properly, i was just saying it wasnt matte black originally.

Yeah I can't understand the later model levin attraction, ugly as sin for coupes and even if you were to modify them so they produced decent power they would torque steer to the point where corners become wishes

Matt black is also ugly as sin and 95% of the matt black jobs I've seen done should have resulted in their owners being shot

It wasn't matt black when i got it, it'd just been a spray can gloss job which the sun ruined. Which i meant to get around to fixing but didn't. I think the AE101s look nice tbh but people have different tastes. That said i am going to get rid of it.

60 bucks for a door and 350 to panel beat the rear panel.

Replacing the pads is easy but a ceased piston, gah, $#@! that. Besides, with the machining from the damaged disk/s and the bleed + new pads $400 to have some other bastard take care of it is a no brainer for me. :D

I just swapped the discs off, my calipers weren't ceased, they were just leaking and breaking unevenly. In my case one side of the pad was being pushed onto the rotor. I just bought some calipers from a yard and swapped them over.

Yeah brakes are uber easy.

But dont screw it up, or you will die a painful death.

Hard to screw up, unless you forget to put your brake pads back in or forget to connect your brake fluid line lol.

Haha. $600 for seized caliper pistons! Gotta watch these mechanics.

Haha i reckon, they said water had caused the pitts which was making the piston leak and they were going to send it away to get all the rust machined out and a stainless steel plate and new seal placed in. 225 each + labour so 600.

Quote from: Emrico1;1385854
Oh nice. I can do basic stuff but I wouldn't go near brakes...

Lol bro its simple as chips for me was just 2 bolts holding the caliper on, 1 for the brake fluid like and a bolt with a split pin for the handbrake + a bolt holding that bracket on. I just took wheel off and had a look and had a go, passed at the wof station :) easy.

I thought adjusties need certs?

Car failed wof for certain things including uneven breaking at the rear, my mechanic quoted me $600 to fix cause both calipers needed an overhaul. My friends dad owns a wrecking yard and sorted me 2 calipers and pads in good cond for $100 and i just put them on myself. Saved $500 just like that.
