He can't play for the Crusaders, they already have there quota of "Darkies". To the mighty Highlanders it is!!!!

But he's white? :s

I believe he is Samoan. So under hadens definition of darkies, which is all pacific islanders, he couldn't get selected.

Looks like sonny bill has been signed. I wonder what team he will go to. I am hoping the canes or the blues, but he likely to go to the crusaders.

I'm posting actual jobs rather than "Complete work pics" because my work is BORING apart from the things i actually MAKE..

I'm either eyeball-deep in coolant staring at a CNC machine (Programming, setting and operating) or being a monkey turning some dials on a lathe or a milling machine.. Yeah, toolmaker's job isnt the flashiest :P

Haha so true. I worked in a tool shop for a bit. Some days are boring as fuck, because you gotta sit there, watching the lathe go, and perfectly stop it. Then get pissed off if you miss. some of the machines i worked on, didn't even have auto feed, so would spend so long just turning those dials. Plus everything seems to be so rough when first cut. Spent half a day once, just grinding the flash off parts that have just been cut. Got so many metal shards in my fingers :(

I'm not taking sides here, but what you have said is a little interesting.

What makes you think that the only way that they could of falsified the footage was to take already captured footage from the public and added planes? That'd be a pretty silly and arse about face way to do it.

Lets say your back is turned, you have your car parked on a street and some guy drives into it, totals it and manages to drive away without you really seeing what happens. All it takes for you to understand what had happened is for someone to come up and say "I saw what happened, a another car crashed into yours". The situation calls for it to be true, it was plausible and driving statistics and crashes already suggest that something like this is very likley to happen.

You're being told something has happened, circumstantial evidence and someones 'word' tells you it's true, so you have no reason to doubt it so your brain takes it as the gospel.
I meant in regards to the many videos posted on the other page with planes in it (which someone said had planes added to them). But i do get what you are getting at.

Wait so what you are telling me, is you believe

Don't get ahead of yourself there. I haven't said I believe. I HAVE said that I think it is important to look into alternative possibilities.

In another post I said I think that 911 "has legs" as a conspiracy and re-reiterate that it merits further investigation.

There's still plenty more to post, including some information about the possibility of planes...including remote-controlled planes, NORAD, the Pentagon strengthening, and cetera.

Could I remind you of the title of this thread and my comments in the first post? ;)
Wait so the point of this thread is to float very unlikely scenarios by, saying they can't be ruled out, because the very very small chance it could be true.

Yes, it's preposterous, which is what they WANT you to think ;)
Wait so what you are telling me, is you believe that the twin towers were blown up with explosives, but rather than blame it on a terrorist bombing, they put planes into all the amateur footage of the towers going down. And then bribed all the eye witnesses (i would assume it would be done before hand, since if a plane hits the twin towers, first thing most people would do, is call someone. But i suppose if we are believe all the above, wouldn't be too hard to believe the goverment hacked everyones phones using a visual basic gui, and stopped them calling anyone [or even faked the whole convo].), while stop any non bribed person out of the area. While also making sure nobody could see the towers from even the furthest outstretches of the city ( i suppose bribe the whole city). Then somehow bribed all the people in the tower (probably done after, since who would go into the tower knowing they would die[unless all the bodies and peoples deaths was faked]) to tell everyone they saw a plane hit the towers.

IMO he isn't a good enough batsman to demand that sort of treatment.
Of course not - it's not like he's the highest scoring T20 batter in ALL internationals or anything.

T20 isnt real cricket, to stop keeping there needs to be another keeper capable of batting at 3 in the test team or McCullum needs to pull his finger out and start batting at 3. It the only position besides bowlers that isnt relatively stable in the test lineup.

Mccullum at 3 would be absurd. Hes not a reliable enough player. I think we need to look to someone like guptil or taylor as a long term number 3.

Just because he has played alot of games, doesn't mean he is suddenly one of the best in t20. I really don't know why he wouldn't want to keep. I mean the situation atm is fine because hopkins is there, but if we did get a good all rounder, then suddenly if hes not a keeper, we would be screwed.

There was no planes. I mean seriously that is so very ridiculous.

Like someone said previously, 911 conspiracies, like most, fail on occam's razor. I mean really why would someone not only fake planes hitting the buildings, but also bring them down, while also crashing a plane into a field (probably the thing which makes the least sense?), bride hundreds of peoples, bride eye witnesses. It all very over the top. I think it was best summed up on south park (like most things), where the episode ended up with bush behind all the 911 conspiracy theories, because he felt its better to make it seem like the governments in full control, rather than no control at all.

Like, 100 story buildings are built better then many people give them credit for.

Who isn't giving them credit? i think people realise 100 story buildings are well built, else they would fall down all the time.

Also on how it fell down. Its not like a 1500000 tonne block of steel just sitting there. Its a tall tower. Even at the most basic physics level, of torques, and reaction forces, you should realise its not as simple as comparing the numbers. When you take into account complex loading, stress, crack propagation, and the many many different thing that happen when you get a complex structure, its really not that simple. Especially when you also add the steel changing forms at the high temperatures, as someone mentions before.

He was never the same bowler when he came back anyway. I mean easily the best nz bowler we have now (which said alot about our current bowling resources), but no where near the same 150kmhr+ bowler he was in his peak. It a shame he had those injuries, since a geniunely quick bowler is always nice to have in the team, to rattle up the batsmen.

The plane hit towards the top yet the building fell like a planned demolition.

Not to mention, just because something is designed one way, doesn't mean it gets built that way. A lot of stuff will get changed on the floor, usually when its well out of the engineers hands.

Of course it is built the way it is designed. You are talking about the tallest building in the world ( at the time of build) do you think they just changed the structure as it was going up? LOL

I am not talking about massive overhauls to the structure, more the way joints or parts may be specified. I am not saying it definitely happened, but it easily can. I have seen it happen before, where the contractors will see a easier way of doing something, and decide to do it that way, because they didn't fully understand how the part was used.

It might be because civil engineers thought about worse case scenarios when building it. So rather than have it fall in some uncontrolled way, killing everyone around the building (while thoroughly convincing them that a plane did hit it), they made it fall in a controlled manner.

Also designed to be hit by airplanes, doesn't mean it will work. When you make things that big, your models always go a bit out of whack. There are pretty cool videos on youtube about them making the new airbus (massive new airplane), and you see how when they are working with such massive structures, nothing goes to plan.

Not to mention, just because something is designed one way, doesn't mean it gets built that way. A lot of stuff will get changed on the floor, usually when its well out of the engineers hands.

Wow india have had a bad end to the tourny. I reckon SL can do it against england tonight, if they bat first. Dilshan is looking good for a big innings, and jaysuriya gotta come good sooner or later. Plus mendis/dilshan/jaysuriya/randiv all taking the pace off the ball in the middle, should put a lot of pressure on the english.

I would go if it wasn't R18. Karnivool played an R18 gig last year as well :(

Yea i missed that one, because of work. My mates went and said it was pretty good, albeit a small crowd. Though they aren't too big in nz i suppose. My friend is also in earlybirds, so double the reason for me to go to this.

:)

Tonights games will be good. I am hoping SL go through, or atleast WI. Hopefully SL bat with some sense, and realise they don't have to win.

On a side note, wow pak go through with 1 win against the top 8 teams.

Also butler is great. He won the pak game for us. Oram's medium pacers are no good. Better off letting styris bowl, and playing another batsmen in orams place. Batsmen so very inconsistent. Vettori is best run scorer in this tourny for us. Average of 32.5 (albeit with some not outs).

I can't see us winning it. England are looking pretty good. But then again, thats why t20 is so great, anybody can win, and it would be pretty sweet if we did, since the team has been on the rise since the days when we nearly lost to Bangladesh in the test.

On a side note, aus are looking very good. Tait, nannes, and johnson are unstoppable on the bouncy surface. Tho, subcontinent players aren't know for their batting on bouncy tracks, especially given how small most of them are.

NZ have a good squad, but so do SA aus ind. And SL and WI can upset you on your day. While pak play best when they are in the most disarray. I think it will be down to how well the middle order goes. I mean agianst SL, if it wasn't for the fact nz bats to 9, they wouldn't of won. I mean malinga should of got that run out. After missing that, he missed his yorker, and got hit for that four, which was what won it for nz.

SA will choke, Pakistan will play terribly, Australia haven't got used to the format yet, and we did beat WI already.

I reckon the semi finalists will be two of SA/WI/Aus, India and NZ.
Already written off SL after 1 loss?, despite having jaywardene in better form than any of the nz batsmen, probably the best fast bowler in the tournament in malinga (since no gul or parnell), and the best spin bowler in the world. Probably as ridiculous as considering nz one of the contenders after 1 win.

I am picking aus, india + WI/SL/NZ/SA. Can't say sa will choke without playing a game. Aus have been the best for a reason. WI at home, could produce something special if gayle/pollard/chanderpaul click with the bat, SL i outlined before, and NZ just because of their deep batting line up, and good spinners on tracks which favour spin. And india have raina, vjay, dhoni, and gambhir, who are all in good from from the ipl.

If you want contacts cheap, just try ezy lens, quick lens etc. Using google is the fastest way to find them all, and they usually always have sales.

Last time i checked (around a month ago, when some guy hit my car, and drove off, when it was parked), you can get address. I think it costs a small amount, but you can still do it. Along with owners details.

meh even if u can dont see the point in blanking out plates caz if people wanted thay can do it to any car then just walk down the street and grab a few?

Why? The point is, say i was some crazy stalker. And i see a picture of the car online. I can now go from picture of the car, to the actual car in 1 easy step.

Also blob, carjam is good to check if people wind their rego. And as far as i know, its the same as post office, in that it gets mot info, to provide details about someone's car.
