I am actually really proud to see NZ doing this. Just goes to show what can happen in a country where most people arent really religious.

Since this is a subjective topic I cant really say that The Big Bang Theory is a terrible show...but I can say with 100% accuracy that I fucking hate it. (insert pause and laugh track here)

Their decision is fine - they don't want to distribute their creation freely. Thats great, but there is a difference between free distribution and copying on the internet. Not to mention the Irony that the industries that are pushing for these changes got Rich by blatantly and intentionally breaking Copyright/Patent laws. There is also a fair amount of evidence to backup the assertation that a looser approach to copyright enforcement promotes creativity which ultimately benefits the Industry by driving more revenue.

They arent free under the status quo because people will just take what they want regardless of the creator/license holders wishes. They dont get to make that decision. Just because something is good business doesnt mean the consumer gets to force a company to adopt that practice. That is the business' choice and it is very important that they are free to make that choice.

If it turns out that putting out free music is a great way to drive sales elsewhere then it would be great to see more companies doing that. But I completely support the right of the that one company to NOT do that, even if it puts them out of business.

We dont live in a society where we can just take what we want. The right to own and control your property is a very important right in our society. It far outweighs this sense of entitlement to music,TV, movies etc.

So we have............exactly the same viewpoint :s

I just think it's bull$#@! that Kim/MU is being made the scapegoat and that we're sucking the states' $#@! because of their industry-funded lobbyists.

His company at most was refusing to remove copyrighted content that they did not own the distribution rights to and at the very least was doing nearly nothing to police the content following requests from copyright holders.
Youtube, on the otherhand, is very active at taking down copyrighted material at the behest of the copyright holder.

we are all spam bots. Didn't you know? We are all just well coded sleeper spam bots designed to maintain conversation until a certain number of posts and then we start advertising whatever irrelevant shit we were created for.

Xlan isnt even real, it is just part of the whole spam bot thing. A bunch of the bots like to talk about meeting each other to help with their alibis

No they don't.

Young people who don't have respect for the old.

But where are our role models?
It is hard for the latest generation to appreciate the role models of the past like sir edmund hilary. These days our role models are sports stars and......

We also have a generation gap that hopefully will close with the next generation. I cant imagine we will be as ignorant with our kids as a lot of our parents were with us. Our culture changed very rapidly in a very short amount of time. The values and environment our parents grew up with were too different from the ones we dealt with. We were the "information generation", a kind of second enlightenment age. We started to question everything around us. For our parents and those of the "do as you are told generation" this was a shock.

We can change the gap with our children but i feel the damage has been done for a lot of individuals and thus their children.

Kayne isnt worried about someone stealing something from him or being mugged but sometimes he does worry what will happen when he is randomly attacking someone walking through his neighbourhood

Isnt twitter pretty much what we already do here but vastly more brainless.

Arent reposts pretty much the quote function with an implied smiley underneath?

I have a ton of independent work. It's what I showed them (as well with worked created with firms).

Nice dude, I wouldnt worry then. Just keep taping away at it and you will get something eventually.

23
Sounds like you need to do whatever you can to put some independant experience under your belt. So you have a large vault of proven work to put infront of them. That should be the thing you are on good grounds showing/talking about.

Just lie, lie, and lie some more. But it does suck, when you see people getting jobs, through a friend of a friend.

Retardo doesn't need to lie. He is getting interviews and be recognised as skilled despite the hole he lives in. Eventually you will get there dude and maybe sometime in the future the opportunity to move will come up and you can take it.

agreed. Royalty isnt something I will ever understand or agree with
