Bah to all this modern stuff
New stuff ain't so bad, such as this brand new FW 190 A8 I think the only original part is the tail wheel unit of which they found a batch from WW2 that were never installed. The rest is modern technology.

This made me go cross-eyed
The idea of free will is intriguing - it amazes me that, all factual evidence or spiritual ideas aside, we all still feel like we exercise free will, whether we do or not. Almost like some kind of heuristic (I think thats the term) or something. I think we need to define what free will is precisely. We may or may not be deterministic, but we are still conscious and our particular feelings of control are integral to our determinism (if we are deterministic).

For good reason (see below)
...and I would contend that it is easier to make rational decisions if you DO have free will!
Why? Because whatever decision you make becomes the basis for further action/decision making. Even if you were to have complete randomness, you can still create a semblance of order by following some strict rules.
HOWEVER: In the event that you DONT have free will then everything you do is pre-ordained and therefore nothing you do actually matters[1] UNLESS you have some form of creator who falls outside of the wheel of karma/dharma[2] .... who falls prey to the 'creations are my slaves!' argument I put forth earlier
~No gods, no masters No kings nor their court jesters~ If you don't have free will and use a decision you made previously to inform further decisions. Then you made those particular prior decisions because you were pre-ordained to decide them and subsequently pre-ordained to use them. Accumulated experience isn't free will.

If you have no free will, then you can't be rational at all, because you don't have the ability to make rational decisions. Rational decisions can be made with or without free will. I would contend that it is easier to make rational decisions when you don't have free will, at lest free will in the sense that we can somehow partition some of our conciousness off in some other dimension where it can make decisions without any input what so-ever from the rest of reality, and then somehow inform our actions in a meaningful way, which is the irrational part.

Just to fill out some of the seemingly missed obvious ones.
long drop = deep whole in the ground used as a toilet, often with a shed built over it. laughing gear = mouth wharfie = dock worker

Bro, they offered to sell you food. I couldn't even get that. I was flying back from Brisbane on good Friday and the airline staff were quite happy to get me liquored up. There's nothing like dodging religious holidays by hanging out in international territory. I guess God doesn't exist one mile up.

You mean when the Christians irrational war on evolution is over and we all have no choice but to believe that our one true source of happiness is his love, and our lord, Jesus Christ?

That's correct. That is why being agnostic is the only rational choice Represent brother!

This is an interesting article about flaws in the theory of evolution. I haven't read the whole thing, but I can see it's good I can't figure out if you're trying to be ironic. The article supports evolution, it's just exposing common misconceptions about what it is or isn't. However on a more serious note, for those clinging to the religious dogma of gravitational theory this article is a must read.

That guy with the scorpion reminds me of a scene from Naked Lunch, where a guy is getting raped by a large bug thing in a giant canary cage. I wonder if you can get cat aids from bugs.
