And like she knows what the stock R32 exhaust setup looks/sounds like? Totally fair right there.

Pretty bloody obvious difference between stock R32 and aftermarket.

a) Stock exhaust isn't a 4" dog tucker can
b) Stock exhaust doesn't rumble & rasp
c) Stock doesn't go "pssssst psssshhhht waaaaaaaaaah look at me !!!! pshhhhht"

The stock systems on R32 are pretty bloody quiet actually.

And what's to say that she wasn't an R32 GTR driver herself ? Did you ask...

@Greaver - in his testing at 4K it's putting out 98dB - so yes that car should not be on NZ roads without being toned down.

I have absolutely no issue with loud vehicles, the more the merrier I say. But noise of car should be a roar and not a fart. V8's all round tbh.

On the ticket her description of my car in Make was "Nissan" and in Model it was "Nissan". So yeah, pretty sure she wasn't a GTR driver herself. Who's to say that I didn't just have a chrome tip on? Who's to say that I had the standard system, not a 3" straight?

All up to interpretation, that's where my issue is.

It's not up to interpretation if you were over the db limit at 4k?

It is when the test is performed @ 3200RPM, and she had no adequate testing device. Furthermore, I rang the NHPS and spoke to a friendly Sergeant regarding the matter, and he said I was just unlucky with the cop that wasn't going to let me go without some sort of fine. It was strange enough for her to be going around a carpark, and for me to be done for loud noise going slower than 20kmp/h changing from first to second at 3k revs was plain stupid, especially when she had no noise testing device. He said he carries one at all times, and he agreed with me that it is retarded that you have to get a cert to prove that you are under the legal limit when you have been passing WOF's no problem.

What does that all mean? It goes back to my original statement. I got stopped by a cop with an agenda, and there was nothing I could have done about it.

Wow that would have made for some interesting handling if it came on boost mid corner - although iirc you have the model with the blisteins so you would probably be fine.

Yeah could have been bad lol. Nah bilsteins are swapped out with tein adjustables. Infinitely nicer to drive now that it's nail free lol

I probably should post as I do keep an eye on this thread.... Bit lazy.

Oil and filter change - Fully synthetic goodness.
Replaced dirty standard panel air filter with a new K&N one.

Oh! And replaced worn rear tyres yesterday with Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31. Plenty of grip now. ;)

Edit... Washed and Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Waxed too.

Went up Whakapapa early in morning with buggar all tread on rears.

Sliding all the way to the mountain and up the mountain, much to the amusement of those behind me.

Went to leave at 3pm and had to get girlfriend to push me out of carpark.
