Disappointed to read Torres declined the offer of taking a penalty, not surprised by it just disappointed. 2-0 up and no one would have cared (other than the media, oh and maybe a load of Birmingham fans most of which were probably walking out anyway) if he fkd it up and as it turned out Mata took a soft one anyway. Glad AVB and his Japanese style sleeping pod have fucked off now. First and formost it's the managers job to not let a player's self belief get that low, not exclusively but the players and the fans are all behind him so who else.

Scared of missing it is one thing but not wanting to take it because it would look like a cop out is another, who knows which it was.

Chelsea fan protest about Benitez made me laugh too because it was reported that it was because of bitter rivalry, no it wasn't it was about the fact that when he was at Liverpool their league form was utter pants apart from one season where they finished above us because we had Big Phil for 5 months.

Yeah, because there's no way players interact outside of the pitch. Chelsea revert to their successful formula that has served them well for awhile now - but how long can this seriously last. Terry managing the game from the sideline said it all. DiMatteo is just a face in a place. Just like Avram Grant - no power whatsoever.

That said, who gives a shit if you win, I suppose?

I'm happy for Chelsea to still be in the UCL, and FA Cup, as it means that they have to concentrate on all three (EPL included) competitions and not give as good a challenge for fourth.

Or at least, hopefully until Arsenal are above Tottenscum, then Chelsea can do what they want. :P

But yea, good work for knocking out Napoli, didn't they knock out one of the Manchester teams? Along with Basel who just got thumped 7-0.. lol
