US dramas seem to be pushing the violence hard these days.


Some vague spoilers of SoA and Breaking Bad:

Spoiler :

Gus's scenes from breaking bad werent just violent but his calculated manner made them all the more horrific. SoA in the recent season also turned it up with Pope and his altercations with Tig. And then there was Opies scene in prison.

I'd refer to myself as pretty desensitised, but I struggled to watch that. I find these different to the likes of Saw where it is just violence for violence sake.

I guess this also adds compliment to the writing, as I didnt want to lose these characters from their respective shows, and that its the mental aspect as well as just watching blood spill.

Reading the reactions online has made me want to get back to watching the show. I stopped halfway through the second season and haven't got around to picking it up again.

Superb show, and superb episode, I am amazed it aired in NZ just hours after it aired in the states!

I have no problem with Foreigners - if you work, you pay taxes - if you have paid taxes you are entitled to the perks of 1st world living. Infants can't work so are kinda exempt from this idea.

I just take a dim view of someone seeing that other people have life better than they do, moving to that location and expecting other people to pay for them to live without contributing anything
