near the chopper? its hard to say, probably a hacker trying to take it for himself. however if its at the spawn a lot of people server jump looking for choppers

Fuck yes flying helicopters is awesome.

Found 5 or 6 tents full of everything my friends and I needed, then flew over cherno and killed one or two dudes.

About two hours of flight and only used up two thirds of the full tank.

Didn't even nearly crash once!

I would have tried but I was on an island.
sitting there for 3 hours my food was light green/orange with water just coming up on red. had to get someone to go and shoot me

bugga cant seem to get DayZ working at the mo have tried reinstall both versions 96584 and 96715 but with each GetSome tells be bad version
has anyone struck this?

Is it possible to check to see if I have been banned, boesn't say I'm banned just bad version.

if you were banned it would come up and say you were banned. try verify your game files, launch the game. Then reinstall the DayZ mod and beta.

Well bugga me, turns out that, that fixed it but my DayZ commander was broken as well :/
Fresh install of Arma2 CO + verify+DayZ join thru mod.

^^ Yep, my mate rents a Lingor Island server (search Green-Bear) which is hosted in New York, and I get about 200 ping but zombies and people still drop pretty well instantly (even on most servers Z's still run for a bit then drop sometimes).

Great map, I'm interested to try the other one as well. I'm currently on Takistan playing some normal Arma 2 OA.

Is DayZ still going strong? Or has it slowed down a bit with player/noob numbers untill the standalone gets released?

Gave up months ago when hacking got out of hand. Probably won't be back til i'm bored of Borderlands2 which will mean when the standalone is released.

Vanilla Cherno is hacked to shit. Arseholes should be ashamed.

Gave up on NZ servers ages ago, been playing Aussie ones instead. But they're pissing me off too now; my last 10 deaths have been by hackers!

Maybe time to take your guys advice and stick to private hives. Lingor looks pretty compact for some tight street warfare; most buildings look accessible. How do vehicles play out on this map?

Good, whenever you have a car you always feel like you'll be shot at on a full server.
It's compact enough for regular PvP and there are a lot more military loots so it's usually more dynamic.

First time I joined Lingor I was cratored by a hacker 3 times in a row.

I've just set up my own Lingor server, looks like it's the first NZ one. Will do a Takistan one soon too.
